Diorio Collection LE 1974 Bellwort Paperweight
This limited edition 1974 "Bellwort on Blue Paperweight" from the Diorio Collection is 2 1/4" in diameter. It has a light yellow Bellwort flower with red stamens on a curved stem with green leaves. The background is translucent cobalt blue, and the entire work is encased in very clear crystal.

This paperweight is signed "Paul J. Stankard," and marked "18/75 1974 A537" next to a black and white "PS" cane on the underside. It is documented on page 56 of the book Paul J. Stankard Homage to Nature by Ulysses Grant Dietz. This paperweight is a fine example of Paul Stankard's early work.
