		Diorio Collection 1978 Compound Blackberry Paperweight

						This exquisite limited edition 1978 "Compound Blackberry Paperweight" from the Diorio Collection is 2 7/8" in diameter. It has delicate dark green branches with serrated leaves, thorns, and white buds encased in a top layer of very clear crystal. There is a second branch with dark ripe blackberries and white buds encased in another layer of crystal below the other branch. The paperweight is marked 74/75 B137 1978," and is signed by Paul J. Stankard. It also has a tiny red and black "S" cane on the side located directly underneath one stem. This paperweight shows Stankard's mastery of the compound paperweight technique he developed early in his career.
