Diorio Collection LE 1981 Bottle Gentian Paperweight
This limited edition 1981 "Bottle Gentian Paperweight" from the Diorio Collection is 3" in diameter. It has a cluster of purple Bottle Gentian blossoms on a brown stem with green leaves and off-white buds. One of the blossoms is cut in half exposing the intricate interior. The entire work is encased in very clear crystal.

This paperweight is marked "1/50 B414 1981," and signed "Paul J. Stankard" next to a black and white "S" cane. This exquisite paperweight is documented on page 61 of the book Paul J. Stankard Homage to Nature by Ulysses Grant Dietz.
