| This lovely limited edition 1979 "Eastern Prickly Pear Cactus Paperweight" from the Diorio Collection is 2 7/8" in diameter. It has a detailed flowering green cactus plant with dark tusks. It also has light yellow blossoms, buds and unripe fruit. The entire work is encased in very clear crystal. The paperweight is marked 7/25 A498 1979" next to a black and white "S" signature cane. It is also signed "Paul J. Stankard." This original design evidences Stankard's early departure from the French paperweight tradition.
