| This unique 1979 "Dwarf Field Pansies Paperweight" from the Diorio Collection is 2 3/4" in diameter, and presents the Dwarf Field Pansies as a botanical study with a cluster of seeds next to the root. The background is royal cobalt blue with a white underlay with a sprout on the underside. The detailed flameworked colored glass is encased in Stankard's high quality clear crystal. This design has a red and black "S" cane embedded in the white underside. It is also inscribed "A740 1979," and signed "Paul J. Stankard. " This exquisite paperweight is documented on page 57 of the book Paul J. Stankard Homage to Nature by Ulysses Grant Dietz.
