Diorio Collection 1978 Wild Strawberry Paperweight

| This limited edition fancy cut 1978 "Wild Strawberry Paperweight" from the Diorio Collection is 2 5/8" in diameter. It was featured on the cover of the Smithsonian Museum's Spring Mail Order Catalog (1978), and the edition quickly sold out. It features Stankard's signature five petal blossom with upright stamens, leaves and a deep rich red berry encased in very clear crystal.
The paperweight has six concave facets (including the top), and a tiny red and black "S" signature cane on the side. It is marked "42/100 A311 1978, and signed by Paul J. Stankard.
