| 2006 Morning Glory Bouquet Orb (Sphere) with Ant | |||||||

This gorgeous one-of-a-kind "Morning Glory Bouquet Orb with Ant" by Paul J. Stankard is approximately 3 1/2" in diameter. It has a bouquet of white Morning Glory flowers with light purple stripes, white buds, pale pink Coronet flowers, yellow wildflowers and small white flowers with red stamens. There are also beautiful blueberries, a dark brown ant, variegated leaves, green leaves, olive green tendrils and very realistic dark green moss.
The entire design is encased in clear crystal. The sphere has a tiny cursive "P Stankard" signature cane tucked into a light green stem. It also has a "fertile" word cane in one of the olive green tendrils. Included is the book Flora in Glass (a numbered, First Edition printing) hand-signed by Paul J. Stankard. There are excellent color photographs of many beautiful Stankard early works. |
